However, if you’re making this choice for a home you have no intension to leave anytime soon, why not choose something that is valuable to you . . . and not just what will increase the value of your home.  Kitchen updates alone, be it fancy or functional, are a winner no matter what choices are made because people want to see working plumbing and fixtures that aren’t out of date. So, either way, there really isn’t a poor choice that can be made here.
