I was doing some research for another company I work for when I came across this interesting idea:

Peel and Stick Crown Molding

The idea is interesting because it requires no tools, it can be hung by one person, and it provides a relatively realistic appearance. However, because it is made from plastic, it is not recommended for high-end home remodels.

I learned this product is used for consumers either looking for a quick fix home improvement project to spruce up their space, or for those staging their homes for sale. Either way, it’s an interesting concept.

This product can be painted, plus some is available with a wood grain appearance. The downside to this product? It isn’t thick, so it doesn’t have the same depth and definition as traditional crown molding. Those who work with the real thing have commented about how the peel and stick version looks flat in comparison.

I’m not really sure where I stand on this home improvement project because I haven’t seen the product, or the results in person. From what I’ve read, though, consumers are recommending this for novice do-it-yourselfers looking for easy to do home improvement projects.
